Yaqubali Parkar is a young entrepreneur driven by a simple belief. Real change begins with small, everyday choices.

Yaqubali’s family story is closely tied to the UAE. His father moved to the country in 2008, the year Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum became Crown Prince of Dubai. It was a period marked by fresh leadership, progressive thinking, and a strong focus on the future. Growing up during this time deeply influenced Yaqubali’s outlook on innovation, responsibility, and opportunity.

Born and raised in Dubai, Yaqubali was exposed to diverse cultures, ideas, and ways of thinking from an early age. This environment shaped his open mindset and his desire to do something different. He was never drawn to following the usual path. Instead, he was curious about how ideas could turn into meaningful impact.

At just 11 years old in 2024, Yaqubali was selected as Deputy Head of Sustainability and Innovation at GEMS Founders School, Dubai South. This early leadership role helped him understand how thoughtful design and conscious choices could create positive change within society. It also strengthened his belief that sustainability and innovation must sit at the core of future progress.

Rather than focusing on grand promises, Yaqubali chose to start small. He observed how many everyday products are made from plastic and non-biodegradable materials, despite being used briefly and discarded quickly. He believed that replacing these small, daily-use items could collectively lead to meaningful environmental impact.

Yaqubali wanted to start this journey in Dubai, a city he calls home and one that is actively shaping a sustainable future. His vision for Gruen Fiber aligns closely with Dubai’s Sustainability Vision 2030, which focuses on short-term transformation while building a long-term pathway toward climate neutrality under the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 strategy. These initiatives position Dubai not only as a futuristic smart city, but also as a regional leader in green innovation and sustainable tourism.

The timing of Gruen Fiber is also purposeful. With Dubai’s ban on single-use plastic set to take effect from January 2026, the need for practical, scalable, and sustainable alternatives has never been more important. Yaqubali saw this as an opportunity to support the city’s transition by offering responsible solutions for products people use every day.

This thinking led to the creation of Gruen Fiber. Gruen Fiber was founded to provide green solutions for everyday living by distributing sustainable alternatives to commonly used products. The mission is simple. Make responsible living practical by offering biodegradable, eco-conscious products designed for daily use.

Yaqubali started Gruen Fiber to take the first step toward the change many people care about but often delay. By making sustainability accessible, he aims to encourage individuals and businesses to make better choices without complexity.

Gruen Fiber represents a belief that small changes, when adopted widely, can support Dubai’s vision and contribute to a more sustainable future for generations to come.
